 | | | Scholarship Committee | | | | | | | | | | YPGL awards two $1000 scholarships each year to graduating seniors (1 young man and 1 young woman) from area high schools. Selection is based on a number of criteria including character, scholastic achievements, intelligence, aptitude and the promise of successfully earning a degree in their field of study. The Scholarship Committee will promote the scholarship to area high schools and the local community, evaluate applications, choose scholarship recipients and coordinate a photo opportunity with the scholarship recipients and YPGL board. | | | | | | Membership Committee/YPGL Ambassadors | | | | | | | | | | The Membership Committee will strive to open up and diversify the membership of the YPGL through events, social media, targeted mail, and strategic outreach. The goal of the committee will be to expand the community of YPGL to many different industries in the Greater Lowell region including the arts, health care, finance, education, non-profit and many more. If you are interested in helping us expand our network and increase our impact, please consider joining this committee. | | | | | | Business Leadership Forum Committee | | | | | | | | | | Every year our Business Leadership Forum features prominent speakers from across the nation. Past speakers include Mark King, Jeff Taylor, Edward Zander, Dr. Bob Froehlich and Jack Welch. This Business Leadership Forum Committee will assist with talent research and booking, marketing, sponsorships and logistics. | | | | | | Community Service Committee | | | | | | | | | | The Community Service Committee will connect YPGL members with volunteer opportunities (especially in group activities) throughout the Greater Lowell area. The committee will reach out to community groups and charities, organize volunteer opportunities, promote the opportunities to YPGL members and act as the point person at the different events. Not only will our members be giving back to the community, but also they'll be developing relationships with fellow YPGL members in the process. | | |
